I'm not too sure about the Lord Charles, it's OK but not great and not ideally located, prefer something either exotic or in central CBD | Pursuing the relationships gained and the knowledge shared | Great insights into the industry and was surprised with the willingness of industry leaders to share info | Start sign ups and planning for 2025 now so that there is more time for planning and maybe add an extra breakaway stream | Balance between content delivery/netoworking/arranged meetings/expo
The breakaway sessions could have had better audio, visual. | More informed on these topics | Network automation and some domain name updates | Some of the breakaway sessions overlapped with important plenary events and was difficult to choose which to go to. | I enjoyed the well chosen venue that could suit the needs of the convenance
Audio video | Sound system aften was not in sync with the displays, and sometimes could not hear very well | Some clashes were a problem, e.g. ZARC session and How to un*#^$^ Afrinic - would have likes to attend both Thursday was very specific in Plenary for fibre and breakaway DvOps - could have moved one of the above to Thursday rather |

Nothing specific | Nothing specific | Great networking opportunity and relevant topical content.
Since it was my first workshop it was fine as it is. | Cyber Forensics | Mainly contacts on all the necessary tools I might need for executing my activities. | No. | Seeing the advancing of the Internet world and its hardwares.
Programme out sooner - I knew it would be fruitful but I felt that I went in blindly. | No | Networking
Reminder of meetings scheduled! Perhaps allocate time specific for bilateral meetings to take place and not overlap with the presentations. | Marketing to be improved. There are many industries (Enterprises, Financials, etc) who are unaware that they are welcome to join this event. This is especially relevant to them due to the content presented from the ZANOG community. |
Great event! Think it's worthwhile to continue with the ZANOG/iWeek collaboration to bring together all the techies and some interesting content.
Talks and presentations are more valuable than interacting conversations by the speaker | In my profession its not just the information provided, but also the networking to get assistance in specific fields that will definitely be useful | Cyber security is of utmost importance to SA. We at SAPS have a lot to learn to assist the community and prosecute the culprits. At workshops like these we get to learn and connect with people that has knowledge of how important it is | It was really a great privilege to attend the event and to be able to meet and connect with people from different companies. Since I am not an expert in the Cyber field I can think of no suggestions you could add to future events as I learnt a lot by just attending this one | Every aspect regarding cyber security and the right procedures to follow in obtaining the correct information needed in investigations of cyber attacks, the people that can assist in identifying the crime and/or criminals and the information they can provide to assist with prosecutions and investigations was very valuable
Maybe a few additional coffee breaks - there where a few sessions that went back to back with little time to pause and reflect. | Directly not much however having an even better understanding of the technologies in use/topics learnt will greatly improve my overall interaction with customers in the B2B space when discussing networking and internet resilience. | Key insights related to various understandings of the internet in the most basic sense. How different factors affect the ISPs and NOGs as well as what the merging technologies and approaches are in these industries. |
Invite university students, market the event to younger audiences as well. This was my first time attending (only due to an invite of someone who have been part of ISPA for years). There seems to be a major gap in getting younger people interested and excited about the topics and industry as a whole. With that said also consider an nood-track - where people with limited knowledge or experience in the field can join talks aimed at their skill level - allowing a judgement free place where they can learn, get excited and form great foundational understandings of the industry, technology and careers in the field. |
The networking was really great. There were various insightful talks which provided a clear technical knowledge gain. |
|
Networking app is hardly used, should be different that integrates with delegates outlook calendar | Better decision making | Regulatory matters, Technology matters, operator experiences | How about inviting ISP's to bring customers? | Networking with the Industry
More practical workshops , working together with people is better networking than talking over coffee . | I probably wont be able to apply anything I learned to my work environment , taking any initiative is seen as stirring the pot. | Informative presentation on some of the key challenges facing the ISP industry in 2024 and some solutions to those problems. | hack-a-thons would be cool | networking with industry people
Great first time attending | Ansible training day on Thursday

Catch up with old Colleagues
All of the domains presentations on Day 2 were poorly facilitated. Attendees openly participated in debates and showed a clear disrespect for the topic and other attendees. In the end I ended up learning very little about the topics due to the unstructured nature and disrespect from other attendees. | Better facilitation. Ensuring sound is sorted and that speakers stick to topics and don't veer off due to attendees wanting to debate. | There were a lot of insightful coversations. The general atmosphere was welcoming and open.
The Topics were valid and valuable, the networking sessions was really cool and well organised and the event was extremely well planned and SUPER awesome conference staff! Thank you x

More demos | Great to hear about new technologies form the OEMs. | Networking with everyone.
Well-put together, informative and professional. | The various sessions which addressed/covered various topics of discussion for the day.
the vast amount of knowledge with networking with likeminded folks |
