After completing Auditing articles in Johannesburg, Calvin shifted to the Internet Industry. He helped start a niche ISP catering to the legal market. During this time, he got involved with the Co.Za domain registry with which he has been involved with in some form ever since.
Has held positions as Chair of the Internet Society of South Africa, Financial Director of the ZA Central Registry,
Linux Professionals Association committee member, and a member of the founding advisory board for the Public Interest Registry. He has attended over 50 ICANN meetings around the world and is currently on the ICANN Competition, Consumer Trust & Consumer Choice Review Team. He is also a director of Domain Name Services (PTY) LTD.
He feels most comfortable at the intersection of policy and technical with respect to domain names.
He currently zooms from Dublin, Ireland.
