CEO of ZACR
Lucky Masilela is the CEO of ZA Central Registry, a company he joined in 2014. He has vast experience in the telecommunications sector after being employed by Siemens Telecommunications then later Nokia Siemens Networks for at least 17 years. During this period, he served in various positions from the technical field to finally the management level where he was responsible for corporate functions throughout the Southern Africa region.
Very recently, he was also a panel member and deputy chair of the ICT Policy Review Panel where the panel was charged with the duty of reviewing the current South Africa’s Electronic Communication Acts (ECTA, ECT, Broadcasting, Broadband, ICASA) in their entirety and eventually developing a Green Paper.
He is also the former Chairperson of the South African Communications Forum (SACF), an industry representative body; a position he held for over 9 years. Lucky also sits in the ICT B-BBEE CHARTER COUNCIL and is a non-executive board director of African Network Information Center (Afrinic) a body charged with the management of IP resources for the African continent.
