Jordi Palet Martínez has been working in computers, networking, and the telecom business for past 30 years. His experience includes programming in several languages, OS porting, electronic and microcomputer circuit design, consultancy and network design and implementation, amongst others.
He has been involved with technical, marketing and product management in several companies, and nowadays is working as CEO/CTO at "The IPv6 Company", Madrid. Jordi frequently writes articles, white papers, and presentations about most of the high-end technologies. He is involved in many fora, such as ISOC, IETF, ICANN, RIPE NCC, APNIC, AfriNIC, LACNIC, ARIN, the European Commission IPv6 Task Force and many other regional and national IPv6 Task Forces and related initiatives.
Since 2001, he has attended all the IETF meetings and contributed to (co-)authoring numerous documents, mainly related to IPv6. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in the RIR's policy making process, having actively participated and (co-)authored numerous proposals, many of which have been accepted by the relevant communities, during meetings in all the regions. Jordi volunteered his time to assist all the RIR's with training activities, mainly related to IPv6, which started in Africa and continued in the rest of the world.
He was the main person responsible for the creation of the IPv6 Task Forces in many countries in Europe, Latin America & The Caribbean, and the rest of the other regions, which helped to increase the IPv6 knowledge and team-building, which has highly impacted the deployment in every country/region. He has been engaged with IPv6 commercial customers/projects for the last 16 years, including ISP's, government networks, universities, corporate networks, data center, SME's networks and regulators.
